Die

Crement de Die has been AOC classified since 1993 and is located on both banks of the Drome Valley in the south east corner of France. The wine is made primarily from Clairette grapes combined with Aligote (10-40%) and Muscat (5-10%).

201,080 bottles are produced each year.
Total area of production is 30 ha (74 acres).
Only 8% of production is exported.

The most important sparkling wines in the Die region are:

  • Clairette de Die AOC (e.g. Domaine des Muttes from www.vinatis.co.uk))

  • Crémant de Die AOC (e.g. Domain Achard-Vincent from www.yapp.co.uk)

  • Saint -Peray Mousseux AOC (Marsanne and Roussanne grapes)
